Sitting by my window starring at the sky, the stars are sad to see me cry. Crying tears of missing you, but somehow this the Lord just knew. I closed my eyes and something appeared; it was an angel, the view was crystal clear. The angel said, “I know why you’re sad, but don’t cry, my dear, there’s something I have.” “The Lord has sent you a gift of love. I’ve carried it within my wings from high above.” Beneath the wings a gift did hide until the angel opened them wide. She took out a sacred book and said, “Come here and take a look!” I saw my name as clear as day. Then I was truly blown away. For beside my name, on a golden line, was one whose heart is so divine. The angel said, “You see! Your love’s forever, it’s meant to be.” “The bond you share won’t go away, no matter how far he is today. And millions of years from right now your names will still be here, this I vow.” “You two are soul mates, don’t you see? You’ll be together through eternity. Now dry your eyes and don’t be sad, soon you’ll be with him no matter what.” “His love for you is great and strong, pure as white, like the wings I own. Nothing will break your love apart, not even the distance that will last for a while.” “So from here and now please be strong. With this gift of love you’ve been blessed by the Lord. And keep the faith and you will see the grief in your heart will no longer be.” I opened my eyes as the angel disappeared and in my eyes were no more tears.
